Born in 1935, Edd Lambdin supported himself as a carpenter and by doing construction work. A native Kentuckian, he began making objects around 1980, both for his own amusement and for his nieces and nephews. He spends a lot of time in the woods looking for interesting wood structures to turn into critters such as monkeys, snakes, and lizards. The sculptures are painted boldly with bright enamel and have spots and striped patterns.

I personally know Edd and the stories that he tells are just as impressive as his art work. At first I didn't believe that he was so talented because he is a hard man to get to open up. However, it wasn't long until he was showing me what he could do and I am so blessed to be a part of that. I believe his art work is being extorted by the current place he is living but I have faith that Edd doesn't care. He finds joy in simply making these masterpieces. He would say, "don't cur bout none of that".
